Sport and Exercise Medicine: An Essential Guide

Sport and exercise medicine is a developing specialty. Recent years have seen an increase in the number of institutions offering diplomas and MSc degrees in sport and exercise medicine. The Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine (FSEM) membership examination is now open to doctors from different specialty backgrounds, which has not always been the case.
Surprisingly, there is little sport and exercise medicine content taught at undergraduate level. Therefore, knowing examined material in this discipline can be challenging; and we hope we have addressed this need. The book is divided into chapters based on the brand new 2021 sport and exercise medicine curriculum, with a chapter dedicated to each curriculum component.
This book aims to target a wide range of readers studying postgraduate sport and exercise medicine, including doctors, physiotherapists, allied health care professionals and students.
