U.S. Fish and Wildlife Agent, Angela Dimato, struggles to rebuild her life after the murder of her partner.

a routine tour of the Rocky Mountain Arsenal, Angela assesses the
growing prairie dog town within the national wildlife refuge when she
spots a person out among the burrows of the prairie dog village.

Ordering the visitors to remain on the bus, she hikes out to investigate, discovering the body of a woman.

investigation turns sinister when it’s determined that the dead woman -
the leader of a group petitioning for the eradication of the prairie
dogs - was murdered.

turns of the case, and more lives are put at stake, she realizes that
solving this case might be the key to also solving her partner’s murder.

Unfortunately, the only witnesses are the black-tailed prairie dogs and a parliament of owls.

Chris Goff
